To Book the Bubble Wonders Show: 10/1/2008 Clipping Event a HUGE SUCCESS! On Saturday September 20th the Clipping for a Cure gang shaved the heads of 72 shavees raising a total of $68,000 in the process! I made good on my promise and had them shave my head too right before I performed my Bubble Wonders show! Click on the "Bald" photo to the left to see pictures of the shaving! I'll post video as soon as I can. Heartfelt thanks to all of you who donated to the event! 9/10/2008 ONLINE CALENDAR and YouTube VIDEOS847-668-2808 info@bubbleshows.com Check my availability using the link below! http://calendar.yahoo.com/bubblejuggler View all my YouTube Videos using the link below! http://www.youtube.com/user/bubblejuggler Geoff on WGN Ch 9 Morning News on Sept 16th! You can see a hi-res version on YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcnS8WmRiOk 3/22/2007 LIVE on CBS Channel 2Yesterday I was invited to perform on Channel 2 Morning News to
promote National Bubbles Week. They told me they would do two little
"teaser" shots to tell people about the interview at the end of the
show. Then we would do a 2 minute segment with Roseanne and Susan to
end the broadcast.
Well they ended up doing 4 or 5 teasers throughout the show and
the segment itself ran just over 4 minutes! This was one of the best
television experiences I've had yet.

Then, during a break, they found out I can put people inside a
bubble so they had me do that too. So to close out the show they
brought me back on to put Susan Carlson inside a bubble! Click here to

This year it's from March 20th to March 26th. Last year WGN Channel 9 had me on to perform LIVE during their Morning News. I did a couple "teasers" as they went to commercials and then a full segment near the end of the broadcast.
Some of you caught the show. I did a variety of tricks and then attempted to beat the Guinness World Record for the longest Bubble Chain. The record was nine bubbles. I did twelve!
This year we're playing around with putting either Paul Konrad or Robin Baumgarten INSIDE a bubble!
Details to follow but the appearance will be near 8 a.m. on the First Day of Spring--Tuesday March 20th!! BUBBLES, INC.It's OFFICIAL! I am now incorporated under the name THE ART OF WONDER.
This was one of my New Year's Resolutions for 2007. I incorporated as an LLC or Limited Liability Corporation.
The letter came in the mail yesterday. It was signed into legality on February 2nd which is both Groundhog's Day and my brother, Cole's birthday.
2/5/2007 India!I received an email from an Edutainment group in India. They provide events for "Indigo Children." I noticed they are also courting a couple other noteworthy Bubble Performers including Pep Bou! I am honored to even be considered. I'm already booked solid for that same time period in early March but I've sent them my info and dvd for future events.
The one area where I feel I have the advantage is my knowledge of "Indigo Children." I've taught (and been taught by) a number of Indigos during my time as a both a Waldorf teacher and in Special Education. The Indigos are remarkable. Just Google "indigo children" if you'd like to learn more. Sunnyside SynchronicityI thought this was interesting...
On January 30th I performed at two different school. Each of those schools are located on Sunnyside in their respective cities! I love that sort of synchronicity. 1/22/2007 Bubble Wonders on TV!The Bubble Wonder show I performed for the Mount Prospect Library was video taped and is now appearing on cable televsion! The producers did a wonderful job with awesome opening and closing graphics and everything. This is so exciting! Here's a link to the schedule:
1/15/2007 Kids KarnivalToday I spent the day out at the Kid's Karnival event held at the Arlington Park Race Track.
It was HUGE! There is so much for children to see and do.
I performed my Bubble Wonders show on the Main Stage three times: at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and at 4 p.m.
Between shows I was given my own Sideshow Tent. There I invited children to learn how to hold a bubble on their hand. That was fun. Parents had a great time snapping pictures of their son's and daughter's interacting hands-on with my bubbles.
I also received many nice compliments including from the staff of Chicago Fun who hosted the event.
You can learn more about them at: http://chicagofun.com/
And the Kid's Karnival will be happening on the weekends until Sunday the 28th. That's when I return to do some more shows. So come on out if you'd like to have some fun! Click here for more details:
Great Show at the LibraryThere were over 250 people at the Bubble Wonders show at the Mt. Prospect Library on Saturday. The place was packed! I swear it was close to standing room only in back. They were such a great crowd too. Dayna from the library read how I performed at the Bristol Rennaisance Faire and asked if I knew her daughter, Brianna.
Turns out I do. Her daughter played the original "Fantastical," a fairy-like sprite. Such a small world!
Speaking of daughters...
Lots of parents bring their children up to meet me and ask questions, ask for autographs, etc after the show. One mom had her little girl in her arms. The girl wanted to come say hi and thank me for the show. Then she leaned in and kissed my cheek! It was so sweet and it made my day.
Oh, I almost forgot...
I was interviewed before my show. The interview was for a local cable program called, "Library Life" with Cathy Cushing. The show runs twice a day at 2pm and 10pm…only on MPTV2, the Education channel in Mount Prospect. I believe she said the episode will air for a month starting in February. When I learn more I'll post the info. They also asked if the video guy could air part of my show on a seperate show also to be seen on local cable too. I agreed, hoping that more children will have a chance to see what I do and perhaps more parents will book birthday shows, etc.
You can see both Cathy and her camera man in the back of the room in the photo below. I asked the audience to raise their hand if they would like to see me come back to do another show for the Mount Prospect Library.
12/12/2006 Performing in Dublin!Dublin Ohio that is. I just received word that I've been hired to perform my Bubble Wonders show for the Abbey Theatre in Dublin Ohio. One of my agents (Class Act based in Lake Geneva, WI) offered me a chance to attend the Ohio Arts Performers Network Showcase in Akron Ohio back in October. During the showcase I was allowed to perform ten minutes of my show. There was a live audience with the first three rows full of children bussed in from local schools so the various theatre owners, librarians, school Principals, etc could see first-hand how children would respond the the various acts. Ten minutes is not a lot of time so I ended up doing a sort of "Highlights" review hitting all the really funny and visually stunning stuff. It was a HIT! The kids (as they always do) responded enthusiastically, laughing and clapping and truly enjoying themselves. I asked the audience if they'd like to have me come back and do my whole show and they burst into joyful applause shouting "YES!" I joked around saying "I have to come back...Ohio is the perfect place to do my show...it has a bubble at both ends of its name!" So I'm thrilled that my hard work paid off and I've booked my first show in Ohio. Now the plan is to contact all the various libraries and schools and daycare centers in the Dublin/Columbus area to see if I can't book a "block" of shows while I'm there. 11/11/2006 Busy BoyWow! I can't believe I haven't written anything since my birthday. So much has happened I'm not sure where to start. I'll be updating the Public Show list in a new entry soon. Please check out the rest of the entries and visit the website: www.BubbleJuggler.com for photos and video too.
Blessings,
Geoff |
